Poker Aces references two aces dealt before theflop. It’s the strongest possible pre-flop hand inholdem Poker. But despite this many bettors find themselves on the wrong end when given these cards.
When you’re given a set of Aces, you just don’t fold pre-flop. You’re sitting with the greatest achievable hand at this stage of the game. So how do you bet with Poker Aces ? Do you simply go all-in? I’d say absolutely no to that.
Remember, you’re trying to acquire as much money out of this strong position. You need to maximize the possibility. Going all-in will actually scare most gamblers into folding and not placing a bet.
If you are in the early spot (1st or second to place a wager), you’ll place a single wager. Anyone with a decent hand will call, with hope somebody may raise. If someone has made a raise don’t hop to re-raise or call, pause for a short while – make them think you’re considering your options and then call.
Following the flop your tactic will be to eliminate anyone that might get a straight or a flush. So I would begin to raise boldly, if you’re lucky you’ll trick 1 player into believing that you are faking it.
If you’re in the middle or later spot (near the last to place a wager) you’ll watch as everybody calls and then raise. Even with you holding a pair of aces, if possible try to avert a show-down. Protect your hand by making the other players fold following the flop. If you don’t drive out your adversaries you risk losing your hand.
