Omaha Hi-Lo (also known as Omaha/8 or better) is often times viewed as one of the most complicated but favored poker variations. It is a game that, even more than regular Omaha poker, aims for action from every level of players. This is the primary reason why a once irrelevant variation, has grown in acceptance so amazingly.
Omaha 8 or better begins like a normal game of Omaha. Four cards are dealt to each player. A sequence of wagering follows where players can bet, check, or fold. 3 cards are handed out, this is called the flop. Another round of betting ensues. Once all the gamblers have in turn called or folded, another card is flipped on the turn. an additional sequence of betting happens at which point the river card is flipped. The players will need to put together the best high and low 5 card hands based on the board and hole cards.
